i have design on the mind. with my upcoming apartment move around the corner all i can think about are paint colors, area rugs, dining room tables and DIY projects. i spent the weekend at the chicago antique flea market pouring through vintage treasures for the new place and i've become a walking dictionary of every craigslist furniture posting there is (i scored this CB2 table for $40 on saturday!).

here is a taste of what's been dancing through my head day and night.

is there anything sweeter than the smell of lilacs in bloom? only a big sparkly lavender ring, spots of violet in the bedroom or a fluffy dress in the softest shade of purple can compare.

this is lovely: open shelving

open shelving is one of my favorite kitchen design trends. the kitchen in my new apartment is a bit outdated and i'm hoping to remove the doors and try for a look similar to the last photo. do you like the look of your kitchen supplies out for all to see?

i stumbled across the sweetest esty shop last weekend. little byrd vintage's shop is filled with dozens of great vintage accents for the home. the deco gooseneck lamp is my very favorite and i can picture it sitting on my white antique desk just perfectly.

white hot dress round up

my absolute favorite thing to wear in the summer is a white dress. nothing looks better against sun-kissed skin and all you need to do is slip on a bright pair of sandals and you're ready to go. here are a couple of my favorite white dresses this season.
