to avoid impulse purchases this season i've made a list of what i plan on adding to my closet for the fall. i made quite a dent in my list this weekend, picking up a pair of booties, leather shorts, a 70s style wide brimmed hat and a super comfy pair of high waisted jeans. still on my list... a sparkly sequin skirt and a cozy sweater.

while i've loved fashion for years, i've only recently become interested in interior design... probably because i never had my own place to decorate (or money!) until post college. i'm definitely still learning the basics (like this rule) but its nice to see that something i understand - like putting together an outfit - can be a guide too.

a fabulous weekend with friends and family! although (unfortunately) there was no party with a champagne filled tub, ping pong scores in chanel lipstick and a sparkler topped oreo cake. perhaps next weekend...

inspired by... the flower girl

fashion week always makes me very jealous of the people who get to call attending fashion shows and dressing up in the season's newest and finest couture "work." well, here's another job that's quite inspiring.

denise is a flower stylist, meaning she puts bouquets together for parties, restaurants, films... you name it! she recently opened her own store, which looks adorable. i love finding interesting jobs like this that i never even knew existed!
