{mini bottles of champagne, orange cream soda and rootbeer to sip on}
{mini bags of popcorn make it easier to snack and view}
{homemade caramel corn - terribly addicting}
{minnie's chocolate pie... with no special ingredients ;)}
{always more fun when there's a bit of a wager on the night's winners}
{coconut shrimp nod to 'the descendants' hawaiian flavor}
sunday night i had a few of my girlfriends over to watch the oscars. everyone brought a dish that related to a best picture nominee, including a chocolate pie (the help), galettes (midnight in paris and coconut shrimp (the descendants). aside from emma stone's adorable act and angelina's dramatic pose, i thought the show was a bit of a snooze. but it's always fun to judge the dresses on the red carpet while wearing sweats and ponytails.

What a cute idea! looks like a great Oscar party! I wanna come next year :]

aww so fun. So sad to miss. How ridiculous was angie's pose? I mean, we get it. You're extremely anorexic. We can tell by your arms; but thanks for the double verification by sticking that right leg out.
ReplyDeleteThat caramel popcorn looks so good! :)

ReplyDeleteadorable ideas, audrey! agreed on the actual ceremony. i usually have some girls over for the oscars as well and just couldn't get excited about this year - although the fashion did not disappoint!

ReplyDeletethis is the cutest idea of all time. not to mention, who doesn't love a party. now I need to think of things that don't involve live TV because all my ideas for fun parties like this revolve around it. oh the joys of not having cable...
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I agree, the show was somewhat blah but this is definitely the way to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteso super cute!! love the mini bottles of Chandon!!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a dish for each movie! IT was a bit boring this year but any excuse to sip champagne and snack is a good excuse!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, yummy! And what a creative idea! Love to sit and critique wearing sweats too!
