i haven't been in the mood for baking lately but late saturday night i had a craving for something sweet and i just happened to have all the makings for these salted chocolate chip cookies on hand. the touch of sea salt and mixture of chocolate chips and cocoa nibs lends a special little touch to the normal chocolate chip cookie.

My friend, who lives in Montreal, came to visit and brought these amazing chocolates that were covered in salt. I never thought of that as a combo, but let me tell you, it was best dang combo I had ever had. Yup, salt and chocolate is a winner!

I don't know how salt and chocolate taste blends together. I would like to taste that. For me chocolate is all about sweet and haven't tasted any other combination with chocolate other than the minty one. Did you use Hershey's chocolate chips.
