i hope everyone else has been experiencing the spring heat wave that we've been lucky enough to enjoy here in chicago this week. squeezed in as many walks as possible with the pup and even a midweek alfresco dinner out. looking forward to a few drinks on the patio this weekend. how about you?

i'm lucky to work in an industry where i'm surrounded by super talented, interesting and creative people -- they are by far my favorite part of my job. one of these people is my friend emma. in honor of the premiere of the new season of mad men she's featuring some modern mad men and women on her blog tres awesome -- including me, a gent that gives don draper a run for his money and a lady that seamlessly pairs military pants with a pair of metallic heels. check it out here.

spent sunday in the suburbs with my family - soaking up 80 degree temps, barbecuing and strolling through the neighborhood for a sunset walk. since it felt more like summer than spring i wore this sheer coral dress, my favorite wedges from last season and a summery braid. i can't imagine these unreal temps will continue much longer but i plan on enjoying every moment while they do.

things have been a bit busier than usual of late - and every/any spare moment has been spent outside taking in this unusual springlike weather we've had this week. so instead of the usual personal photos this friday how about some warm weather wear inspiration as we head into what looks to be a perfect spring weekend.

i've always had trouble defining my interior design taste, but in looking through my pinterest boards a couple of themes run through most of the images: white walls, touches of rustic wood and lots of greenery/flowers. all the plants are slightly concerning as the only plant i've been able to keep alive is a tiny potted cactus...

pulled out one of my favorite spring dresses for the beautiful weather we had this weekend. particularly happy in these photos because the season for black tights is (finally) over and walter was hopping around and digging in the grass while we snapped these pics. he loves spring too :)
