a nice little summer weekend. one of the last that was wide open for lazy days and impromptu nights out as the next couple weeks are filled with roadtrips and wedding celebrations.

balsamic and brown sugar grilled strawberries with ice cream

one of my favorite parts about warmer weather is bbq'ing and these balsamic and brown sugar grilled strawberries were one of the first things to hit the grill this season. quite the treat served over some cold ice cream.

hard to say if it was the wonderful city of austin or the ladies i was with but this last weekend was easily one of the best weekends i've had in years. it was filled with laughs, great meals (notably at bess bistro and lamberts), too many drinks and plenty of memories. i'm heading into this week extremely thankful for my beautiful friends that never fail to put a smile on my face. despite the distance between all of us i've never felt closer to them all.
